Preserving history and promoting cultural diversity, Healing wounds of war

When asking youth or some adults about Vietnam, many know nothing about the country, people, or the culture. If they heard about Vietnam, most commonly their knowledge relates to the war. There is a need to share information about the Vietnamese people, culture, and country. No country and it's people want to be defined as a war.

It is Thuy's intention to focus through her talks and presentations to cover the war from various experiences and perspectives, but also on who Vietnam is today.

Thuy also shares her story of what it was like growing up with discrimination, the struggle of finding her identity, her experience as an Amerasian, how she learned to embrace her Asian heritage.
