Letter from next generation of Veterans
Thuy,
The University of Eau Claire’s Veterans Club members are proud to offer support for Vietnam Veterans Day. We understand that the sacrifices made by this generation of Veterans have paved the way for improved services and benefits for the current generation. We understand that working together is the only way to make a difference and also realize the importance of spreading awareness and support for all individuals affected by the Vietnam War. Thank you to Thuy Smith and her hard work in pushing this issue to become a recognized day in the state of Wisconsin. We are honored to be involved and “still serving” our country through important events such as the 3rd annual banquet. Miranda Cross- Schindler Veteran Club Advisor |
Thuy,
Thank you for letting us come and help you with Wisconsin Vietnam Veterans Day this pass year. It was a great opportunity to give back to Veterans who have given and done so much. I am particularly thankful for what they have done for my generation of Veterans. When I took my first step off the plane state-side, there was a Vietnam veteran to shake my hand; that meant a great deal to me. Thank you for all you do and please let us know if we can help with any upcoming or future events, John Bensend and the UW-Stout Veterans Club President U.W. Stout Veterans Club |
